At Howliday Inn, I have chosen to charge an hourly flat rate rather than a traditional nightly boarding rate. There are two important reasons for this.

A Truly Personalized Boarding Experience

Howliday Inn is intentionally small. I have only four private suites and never board more than eight dogs at a time. That means every guest receives individual attention, plenty of affection, and the kind of care that's simply not possible in a large commercial boarding facility.

Your dog won't spend the day in a noisy room filled with dozens of unfamiliar dogs or in a chain-link kennel waiting for the next scheduled potty break. Instead, your pup lives as part of my extended family.

Dogs go outside whenever they let me know they need to—not on a rigid schedule. They enjoy my securely fenced, grassy, shaded backyard instead of a concrete exercise run. I prepare meals exactly according to your instructions without requiring pre-packaged portions. 

I happily administer medications and supplements, provide treats throughout the day, help senior dogs with diapers or special needs, and even get up in the middle of the night if someone needs an extra potty break.

Most importantly, your dog is never left alone overnight. I am here with them, just as I am with my own dogs.

I throw tennis balls, encourage swimming for pups who enjoy it, comfort anxious dogs during thunderstorms, and send daily texts and photos so you can relax knowing your best friend is happy and well cared for.

Everything I do is guided by one simple principle:

I care for your dogs exactly the way I would want someone to care for mine.

A Fairer Way to Bill

The second reason is fairness.

Traditional boarding facilities often have fixed check-in and check-out times. If your flight arrives in the evening, you may be charged for an entire additional night even though your dog only stays a few extra hours.

I've been that traveler, and I remember how disappointing it was to spend my first night home without my dogs simply because of a boarding policy.

Hourly pricing allows me to work around your travel schedule instead of asking you to work around mine. Whether you need an early morning drop-off, a late evening pickup, or something in between, you'll pay only for the time your dog is actually in my care.

No Surprise Fees

Unlike many boarding facilities, I don't believe in adding charges for the little things that make dogs feel loved and comfortable.

There are no extra fees for:

• Preparing meals according to your instructions
• Giving treats throughout the day
• Administering medications or supplements
• Caring for senior dogs with special needs
• Extra potty breaks—even in the middle of the night
• Daily text updates and photos

When your dog stays at Howliday Inn, compassionate, personalized care is simply part of the experience—not an add-on.

My goal has always been to provide the kind of boarding experience I would want for my own dogs: safe, loving, flexible, and centered around each individual guest. My hourly pricing reflects that philosophy while giving my clients the flexibility they deserve.

You may notice that Howliday Inn no longer offers a reduced rate for multiple dogs from the same family.

While siblings may happily share a suite, each dog still receives the same individualized care and attention. Every dog has unique feeding instructions, potty routines, medications or supplements, play preferences, personalities, and emotional needs. Whether I'm throwing tennis balls, supervising swimming, comforting a nervous pup during a thunderstorm, administering medication, or sending updates to you, my time and attention are devoted to each dog as an individual.

My commitment is to provide every guest with the same exceptional level of care, regardless of how many dogs are traveling together. Charging the same hourly rate for each dog allows me to continue offering the personalized experience that makes Howliday Inn different.
